The People: The people at VLS are wonderful from the
administrative staff to the partners. As the years pass faces do change however
the fact remains that VLS continues to attract the best people and the
atmosphere is consistently positive, professional and fun!
The Opportunity for Growth: I began my years here at
VLS as an internal account clerk with an associates degree. As I completed my
bachelors degree I asked for and was given the opportunity to move from internal
accounting to external auditing. Once I was licensed as a CPA, I wanted to
continue to specialize and the firm has supported me as I have completed the
requirements to be a Certified Internal Auditor.
Flexibility: One of the best benefits of working here
is the fact that if we don't have client commitments we can come and go at will.
Schedules are adjusted around school or other commitments. I have the
responsibility to plan out my work year and the hours I need and I love it!
Open Door Policy: Each of us reports to a Partner who
is our main contact for evaluations and is responsible to give us guidance in
our career paths. We can contact our Partner whenever we have the need to. In
addition we can talk to other Partners as well. The door is always open at VLS.
