"Why I Work Here?
Let me count the ways...I accepted a permanent position at VLS because, first and foremost, of its employees and the "relaxed" environment. When I started working at VLS, as a temporary worker, it was at a time in my life when I was dealing with stressful personal situations. I needed to be in an environment where the tension was not "thick" and I did not feel a great deal of day-to-day pressure on the job.
In my quest for permanent employment, I was seeking to find two important things: 1) decent pay and 2) nice people in a pleasant environment. I believe I found that. I readily noticed that the people here were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was professional, all of which were, and are, important to me. I have remained at VLS for these very same reasons.
VLS is an ideal place to work if flexibility is important to you. I feel that the company's core values show great leadership and compassion. I believe employees are a reflection of the company leaders (good or bad, it starts at the top and filters down).
I recently celebrated my fourth anniversary at VLS. I still feel now as I did four years ago. Two years is a good barometer to gauge if a company fits your professional and personal lifestyle, and now I've been here twice that long, and I can honestly say VLS fits the bill!
Balancing work with my personal goals requires constant effort. I feel blessed to be in a company that makes this possible.
